A New Look
As you may have noticed, I have changed the look of my blog. The previous style was getting a little boring so I have decided to change things a little and make the blog more visually interesting. You will also notice that the site now contains advertisements. I hope these are not too annoying. I am trying to make a few extra dollars to keep this trip going. The URL has also changed, from www.kevinkoski.com/blog to just www.kevinkoski.com. Please update your bookmark.
I mentioned previously that you can be notified by email whenever I upload a new post. All you have to do is fill out the info at the bottom of the post.
Time to go
Well my nice rest in Denver is almost over. I have been here a month, visiting relatives, shopping, eating, studying Japanese, and just enjoying the great Rocky Mountains. But the weather has improved and my bike is tuned up nicely, tent and sleeping bag washed, and I am ready to hit the road.
It’s been a busy time but I have not taken too many photos. Here are a couple from a hike up to St. Mary’s glacier one day.
A lot of people hike and bike in Colorado. No wonder, there are great views everywhere.
One the dogs goes crazy for balloons so we had to play the balloon game with her on a daily basis.
Sad news from Mexico
From Mexico: two bike tourists were found murdered in Chiapas state. Click the link to read the article.

One reason I did not ride in Chiapas was that I read it was violent and lawless. It is the poorest state in Mexico, and although not plagued by the drug cartel violence prevalent in other states, there seems to be more violence and robberies carried out by individuals or gangs such as MS-13. These two men were probably just in the wrong place at the wrong time. RIP Holger and Krzysztof.
